Description
At DB Attic Studios, LLC, we are a Mother-led team of her children ages 9 through 17. Not only that we enjoy playing games, as well as, creating games from the initial ideas, through lengthy discussions at the kitchen table, development, testing, and all the phases to release and beyond. We are a learning environment where we make video games for players of all ages.
History
Early historyWhen the company was founded, Darlene thought she would be making games by herself. She made the first prototype for Stinky Snake and showed it off at breakfast which was met with not so wonderful feedback from her kids. So she challenged the most vocal of the team, Anabel and Christian, to do better. This started Anabel down the path of learning pixel art for our first game, Stinky Snake. That followed with a more ambitious RPG game where she is painting scenes and replicating skin tones. Christian has been growing on his path to be an Audio Engineer.
These days...That challenge has led the entire team on a path of self-discovery and growth in their different roles in making video games. We are currently working on our second commercial title, Story about Penny (tentative title). See us at a convention, come over and chat! We love talking about making games.
